IJKA UK seminar

On October 7th and 8th, UK seminar was held in the UK. Thank you very much for the IJKA country chief instructors and members to attend this seminar. The IJKA UK have a strong lineage as high as 7th Dan and some individuals have been loyal followers of Kato Shihan and IJKA for up to 54 years so they have a wealth of experience to draw from. Such loyalty is rarely seen and difficult to find, even in other karate organizations, so IJKA UK is in a unique and proud position. This seminar was held as a memorial for Ron Bell Wood sensei (passed away in December 2022), who was a great contributor to the development of IJKA. We’ll keep great relationship with them for the bright future of IJKA international.

IJKA South Africa country chief instructor visited us

Bernard Buys sensei, Chief instructor IJKA South Africa, visited Japan. He is the first IJKA instructor to visit from overseas after Covid. Although he joined the IJKA as South Africa and was appointed Chief instructor IJKA South Africa just two years ago, IJKA SA already has 2,000 members. He also launched IJKA Branches in Mauritius, Republic of the Congo and Zimbabwe. We will keep work together to spread IJKA on the African continent. He is very humble, polite and a great instructor to follow. IJKA SA members are lucky to have a leader like him and we are very happy to work together with you. Unfortunately, we still have a little COVID regulation left in Japan but thank you very much for visit us.
